Although Felicity Hayman studied law in the UK she has always practised in New Zealand. After her degree she emigrated and worked with a large firm in Auckland and Wellington until she married a South Island farmer and moved to the mainland.

After a couple of years with an Oamaru firm she took time out to raise her three girls. When the family moved to Tarras she continued her career in Wanaka, where she specialises in sub-division work for both large and small clients.

She enjoys the challenge. “It's like doing a puzzle, getting all the pieces together and making them fit.”

Felicity is committed to getting results for her clients as quickly as possible while remaining thorough and approachable.

She has seen her work grow along with the area, and appreciates being able to practise her profession even though she is not in a main centre.

“I think I have the best of both worlds, having the mental stimulation and people contact with my work, and then at the end of the day being able to enjoy being on the farm,” she says.

She also appreciates the growing culture of women being able to continue working while raising a family. “All it needs is a little bit of give and take for women to be able
to remain in the workforce.”

In free time the family goes boating on the lake, and Felicity reads and keeps fit at the gym.
