| | Since 1996 Phil has specialised in resource management, environmental, and local government law, while still handling various civil and commercial litigation issues.
He's also experienced in cases involving valuation of rural land, including pastoral leases and licences.
"Otago is growing fast, and there are always new issues with land use and the natural environment," he says. "It's a huge subject, and I enjoy the variety, learning new things about what people do, and meeting some really interesting characters working with the land."
Phil's work and play both revolve around Otago's natural resources, spending time in the hills and open spaces both as a resource management specialist and as a keen multisport athlete.
His passion for his playground translates to good service for clients. "I have a hands-on approach to the way I prepare cases. I do the hard yards. My clients get my undivided attention. We focus on long term relationships with our clients and we go out of our way to be where we are needed.”
